A Foreclosed property, also known as an REO (Real Estate Owned) and/or bank owned properties are properties that have gone through the foreclosure process and bought back by the bank and/or mortgage company.

Shortsale properties are properties that are currently valued below mortagage value.  These properties may or may not be in the foreclosure process.  Negotiation with these purchases are between the buyer and seller as well as the bank itself.
